From Lagos To A Global Community.
Every graph starts with one relationship. Here's how Oníbodè grew.
It started with one question.
In Lagos, getting to the right person meant one thing: knowing someone who knew someone. A forwarded WhatsApp contact. A cold LinkedIn message that went nowhere. A handshake you hoped would turn into something, if you could just get in the room.
So we built it in Brooklyn.
The problem started in Lagos, but it wasn't local — the same friction showed up everywhere we looked. So we built the answer in Brooklyn: a private, trust-based layer for finding the right person, wherever they happen to be.
Oníbodè means gatekeeper.
Yoruba for gatekeeper — the one who holds the keys and decides who passes through, on whose word. That's the job, built into software: hold the path, respect the trust, open the door only when it's earned.
Now in more than 190 countries.
What started as one private network has spread to professionals in over 190 countries — same principle, scaled up: private by default, real relationships, a real path to the person you actually need to meet.
